More Holiday Sewing Going On

This is not my color scheme, but I ran with it as it was a ‘special’ request.  Love the backing on this on – so pretty.

I started on this and actually had it ready for her Early Family Christmas – made 2 designs because I kept changing the pattern and buying more fabric – becuz of the change. So much so that I actually created 2 different runners her for her.

They are super long – 5 foot – which totally fit her country table, so that worked out perfectly.

Then, of course, on my third trip to the fabric store (so bad that there is a quilt shop in the same town that I work in – ugh, I see my budget going out of control soon), they had this as a sample:

Holiday Sewing

Someone got me started on a holiday runner for them, which was the “Gateway” task.

I ran across these fabrics and I just couldn’t ignore them.

I even love the back – I was just a bit short of the backing.

The only “quilting” I did on these was to “Stitch in the Ditch” which makes it so nice and clean (except for all the lint on the back).

10 Minute Table Runner

Well in the middle of moving my craft room around, I made myself do a small project – since it’s been 5 months since I’ve done anything in there.

It’s a quick and simple little table runner, that someone picked up because they loved the material – for a gift for christmas.  So I had some other small pieces laying around and made a second one at the same time.

I think it took a bit longer then the 10 minutes that were advertised – but that could be because I was climbing over boxes, totes, had to iron on a tray table, etc.

These would actually be a super project for a beginner sewer: very satisfying.
