Northern Lights – craziness

I have chased the northern lights the last couple of years, I have gotten some cool pictures, but nothing matches up with what happened around here on 11/11/2025.

I was driving home and the sky to the west started to brighten and turn pink/red.

At first I thought something was on fire, but as it got larger and larger – I started screaming – screaming because it was crazy how bright it was.

I drove for 40 minutes to get home, I was calling my hubby to get out and look up – he has always wanted to see them with his naked eyes, not thru the camera and this was it.

Caramel (Carmel) anyone?

Caramel / Carmel – which ever way you say it or spell it, it’s always delicious.

Made a Caramel Charcuterie board/shelf for a baby shower, with home made Carmel.

I made a little too much, we will be having Caramel covered everything for awhile.

Photo Editing

I did some impromptu photo-shoots this week.  Totally random request as I was at a sound-bath event. 

So impromptu that I took the photos with my cell phone – now my cell phone is decades newer then my “big” camera, I am old school.

The added thing is that the perfectionist in me took over once I got the photos home. I haven’t done photo editing in Photoshop in quite awhile.

Have you ever worked with a photo that was taken using “Panoramic” setting on your camera, it’s a very weird image you end up with, lots and lots of angles you wouldn’t expect to normally see. Love the option, until you have to edit the photos.

Prince Mural

Last October I finally got to go to the Prince Museum and see the Mural that was down on the movie theater in that town.

Just last month they tore down the theater – to make way for development.

This was so sad to see, but so glad we got to see it.

This is us – August 2024

They say summer goes fast, faster than you can even imagine.  Well our summer came to a screeching halt with a storm that blew thru on a Monday evening.  90+ mph winds.

Under all those trees are 1 truck, 1 suv, 1 service van and 1 storage trailer.  All of our vehicles. The house and garage are behind this pile. No real damage to structures – both need new roofs, but nothing else.

I also lost all of my flower crab trees that I planted back in the 90’s.

We planted those trees when we moved into this house in 1982. We used to have a beautiful shaded driveway – well now I have lots of sun. More than I know what to do with.

So the views are gonna be a little different now. But that’s nature for you.
