Quilt Minnesota Geese Migration

so I got obsessed with the way these blocks are turning out. This doesn’t always happen.

You know the drill – see a finished quilt, love a finished quilt, get the pattern, find and get material (or buy the kit), put it together and it looks nothing like the one you originally saw.  But so far so good on this one.

AND I actually emptied another project box – WOooWOoo.

This one is made with scraps from the Quilt Minnesota fabrics from a few years ago.  I think I have 3 quilts in the “WTBQ” container out of this fabric and have used pieces in other scrappy projects.  Using these fabrics for this block was quite the task. I did fussy cutting for the side blocks, used a left over vertical strip that was in the box for 1 row, but I also fussy cutted the pieces for the flying geese. I spent all of yesterday afternoon snipping pieces to fit just right. And it turned out great – I think!!!
