I was making 2 of these, in reverse – so that they would face each other when put on beds. So it was a bit trying to do it both ways at the same time. I finally just concentrated on one (the one that was the same direction as the pattern) and when I completed one section I would put a copy of all the pieces I used into a pile for the second one (which should be much easier ?). So here’s a throw back for ya – see that iron there in the middle of the picture – it was a wedding gift some 38+ years ago and it’s still kicking! Try to find something new that lasts that long now a days!
They are not exactly the same, but what is? It feels so good to have this part done, but then I realized I have the most trying part to do and that was the actual quilting of these. I am so intimidated when it comes to using my HQSS machine – I hope I don’t fail after all the work I have done on this project when it comes to the next step.
