I have been on a wood/paint kick lately…so I just kept going

We have our last fundraising event for the Avon 39 walk to End Breast Cancer, so i said I would make a couple (??) more signs for them to raffle off.  Lots of sweaty palms getting these ready, but lots of fun too.

12″ x 12″ oak plywood

12″ x 18″ pine plywood, Pledge of Allegiance

12″ x 36″, pine plywood – this is huge

Because I am frugal (aka cheap!) I hate throwing away part 1/2 of the vinyl when I do one of these projects. So …. I decided to do a ying/yang version:

These are 12″ x 24″ inches, oak plywood signs. It was a little more work, but I hate throwing usable stuff away – said the scrapbook/craft hoarder!!!! I did these two signs a little different. I did not stain the boards before I painted them.

I stained them after…

It’s sort of hard to see in this picture, but by staining with a dark stain after painting, it aged these really well. I love how they turned out.
