Well, crafting this fall has been at a minimum. Work has taken up most of my time and I really haven’t had much of a drive to work on anything.
As far progressed into Winter I really had to want to do much. But it’s a new year and I am pushing myself down to that room to give some of these unfinished project some attention.
So – being that is the goal, I started this year off with a bang and did a Flying Geese block for one of my more complex quilt tops – Gravity. So, this just happened – I didnt think I made that more than 2 years ago – I was wrong, I made that in August 2016 – 5+ years ago. Oh by, now I know I really have to get working on these things.
So I have been thinking about this one for a long time, how to pay tribute to the Gravity quilt with a Geese Migration block. I pulled out the box with all the left over pieces and started laying them out, and laying them out and laying them out. Moving, changing – had to walk away quite a few times.
Then, I get it all together and look at it – it’s backwards!!! The geese were on the wrong side – so me and “Jack” spent some time together today too. A little bit of everything was going on in that room today.
It’s flashy, lots of angels, but all in all I love how it turned out.
So here it is – the first of 2022, the last of 2021 all rolled up into 1 Geese Migration block.
