Oh my, opened the next box, this one looks like it’s gonna be a dosey to do.
So, looking into my history with this pattern, I was a bit astonished to see that I first bought this pattern in May 2007. This was when download patterns was still pretty new. The actual pdf was password protected – the password long gone. BUT I still love this pattern so much.
About 5 years later the pattern was release free – so I downloaded it again. And I made my shopping list because I also loved the color combinations on the sample on the cover. I painstakingly got exactly what I wanted.
I remember starting this project (9 years ago) and getting overwhelmed by the patten/process. Once of the biggest frustrations is that the pattern has vague descriptions of what to do . There are minimal instructions – mostly assemble pieces A,B to look like this image. No trimming instructions at all. The flying geese blocks were made by cutting triangles and lots and lots of bias sewing. So I am not surprised that this box contained a big mess.
So it looks like I put some of them together and realized that there were some problems. 1/2 the Flying Geese Blocks were half torn apart. Oh boy!
But – it’s a project box and I am bound and determined to finish what is in these boxes – what ever the case.
