Well it’s done – 2 1/2 days of dedicated time and it’s done.
I spent all day yesterday trimming, assembling, ripping, reassembling and even making 3 sets of blocks from scratch because they were missing.
Then I made, what was supposed to be 18 1/2″ blocks, but were 17″ because of poor pattern instructions.
Today was all about assembling into a top. And it’s done. I fell in love all over with this pattern as I was putting it together. It’s bad, real bad, so bad that it is very hard for me to put a picture of it here. I hunted around it to find some spots that were showable – here is what I found:
There are 12 large blocks in this quilt, 9 sub-blocks in each large block. AND that is about all I will show in any detail.
I rushed to take this quilt outside to get a picture before the latest rain/snow storm came in today – and even struggled with that:
Looking at that last picture – it looks pretty good from the back.
I do have it hanging in my hallway and it is so pretty there, really changes the feeling there. I will make this again, but I will make it larger. I don’t know that I will ever actually quilt/finish this into an actual quilt – but I sure do love the pattern.
