Actually Completed Quilts!

I have an old Quilt stand in my hallway that I walk by all the time. I always, always, always touch the quilts that are on there. They are mine, they are quilting and completed quits. They are a mismatch of things in some cases, and a tribute in another. But I just never thought about them.

This was a kit that I picked up when I was doing a shop hop, nothing fancy, it’s a weird size, but it is a completed project. I did the quilting on my Sweet 16 using a curved ruler. Nothing fancy, no special foot, thread or anything.

This next one is a group of Row by Row kits.

Each row is quilted differently and in the case of the flowers and the butterflies, they are each quilted differently. Even the pots on the bottom.

This other one, I am counting as finished as I am not going to embroider the faces on the snowmen (which are upside down – didn’t notice that until I took this picture). These patterns are all from a Row by Row hop, each is a different shop. You can see in the summer RxR quilt that almost every “ROW” was a different size. The patterns on these rows are all different levels of quality – one of them was a piece of paper with a hand drawn sketch of the block, no dimensions, just “REPEAT” and the “KIT” came in a brown lunch bag. Kind of disappointing when you are paying $10 for a kit. But I used the fabric to make a row, not exactly the pattern that I got with it, but I used it any way.
