I’ve always meant to have a picture taken of me with my mare. Well, I kept putting it off until tomorrow.
This fall, she died from an unexplainable injury – I will never know how it happened, but it did. There is no closure, no answer, just that it happened. She was 29 and I have had her for over 20 years. She was my rock.
I snapped this picture on a whim, little did I know it would be her last. I took it with my little pocket camera and it will be one of my most cherished pictures.
